Presentation In Front of Camera

In the session today we had to propose a presentation on a role holder of our choice, I chose to do this on an editor, as this is something that I am interested in pursuing in the future. We had to rite a two page presentation, so that the presentation would last around 2 to 3 minutes, we then had to double space our presentations so that it could be sent in a used as an auto cue so that it was easier to use, we then had to perform our presentation in front of a camera which we had to read from an auto cue, I found this very daunting at first but as soon as I settled into my presentation it became a lot easier. I learned that it is important to take your time whilst presentation as it makes it easier to get your point across without slurring or miss pronouncing your words. We also learned the basic set up of a simple camera shoot, we chose a location in the room that would allow light and fit in with what we were talking about, we also spoke about mic placing so that we could get the best sound but still not see the mic with in the shot. One thing I found interesting was where the auto cue was placed, I never knew that it could be set up so that you are looking directly at the camera; I found this very helpful because it meant I wasn’t looking away from the camera whilst doing my piece.
